Hearing Tests

We are frequently engaged by employers to conduct hearing screening tests as part of their Health Surveillance Programme in relation to the Noise at Work Regulations 2005. We use professional audiometry equipment designed for this purpose and mostly tests are conducted within an audiometry booth to provide a quiet environment suitable for the test. Our audiometers are regularly calibrated to ensure accuracy. Ideally a baseline hearing assessment is conducted within a few weeks of starting in the role and repeated one year later. Test results are reported in accordance with HSE categories 1 to 4. People with HSE category 1 hearing can be tested every three years after year one and year two.
