We advise Organisations to adopt a risk-based approach to assessing the need for their employees to be vaccinated in relation to their work. Most commonly we are administering courses of Hepatitis B vaccines for people at risk of exposure to blood and body fluids containing blood, in roles such as health care workers, first aiders and those at risk of needle stick injury. Similarly, Hepatitis A vaccines may be considered for those whose work involves exposure to sewage. The benefits of flu vaccination to help control the spread of the disease and reduce sickness absence from work are obvious. We work with many employers to deliver their annual flu campaigns conveniently at their premises.
